Hello! I’m Darshi Shah a dedicated registered kinesiologist and a member of BCAK with a passion for incorporating active health and well-being. With a background deeply rooted in movement science and a commitment to holistic wellness, I’m thrilled to be part of the Inspine Therapy team.

My journey in kinesiology began with a bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University (active health and rehabilitation with occupational ergonomics, where I delved into the intricate workings of the human body and its potential for optimal function. As a former competitive swimmer and current field hockey player in the Women’s Burnaby League, I’ve personally experienced the transformative power of sports and physical activity.

My extensive experience spans across diverse areas of fitness and rehabilitation. I’ve had the privilege of working closely with NCAA athletes as a team trainer, specializing in sports like soccer, wrestling, and football. Additionally, my expertise includes on-field injury assessment and rehabilitation, leveraging certifications in Sports Med BC Taping and various other fitness domains such as strength and conditioning, corrective exercise, and performance enhancement.

Beyond athletics, my passion for helping others extends to diverse populations. I’ve worked extensively with the elderly, individuals with disabilities, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and children with Autism. My experience in personal training/coaching (Issa-CPT) includes aiding those managing diabetes, PCOS, high blood pressure, among other conditions whereby I worked with the general population.

My holistic approach encompasses certifications in 200-hr yoga, breathing instruction, ISSA- nutrition, corrective exercise specialist, performance enhancement, strength and conditioning and Clinical Pilates, enabling me to provide comprehensive support for my clients’ physical and mental well-being. Additionally, my work at a sports physio clinic and a scoliosis clinic has honed my skills in aquatic therapy, spinal curvature rehabilitation, and aiding clients recovering from car accidents, knee replacement post rehab, workplace injuries, and concussions.

My goal is to empower clients not just to recover from injuries but also to enhance their lifestyles, making sustainable changes in diet and habits to optimize their health and longevity. I speak English, Gujarati, and Hindi, allowing me to connect more deeply with a diverse range of individuals.
